Eoin O'Mahoney and the band Hamfatter first came to the countries widespread recognition after an appearance on the TV show Dragons Den. Despite a mixture of criticism and support, both on air and off, the band succeeded in securing £75,000 funding from Peter Jones. The band then produced another album, which was released in 2011.
This bib was sent to me by Eoin after the birth of my son. He kept me guessing for weeks what he had for me. Eventually it arrived, a limited edition printed bib, with the following explanation.
20/11/08 - ''We had one made for Jimbo the guitarist's son, one for my niece and one for my as yet unborn child - so I hope you're right about the sick. Hence 1 of 4.'' Eoin.
I think these days, the band members are more involved in making babies than with being Hamfatter.
