I found this little man on a beach near Swansea. A little diver that dived out of the sea and onto the sand. He actually looks how I feel - old and tired, with his body dissolving from the neck down.

In 2006, I was diagnosed with a progressive nerve disease called Hereditary Neuropathy with liability to Pressure Palsies.
HNPP affects the nerves and subsequently the muscles, tendons and ligaments in my arms and legs. Damaged nerves don't repair and fatigue and muscle wasting have followed.
Painkillers offer no relief from the almost constant pain and discomfort.
It's not a common disease and for now, there's no cure, but perhaps this will change for future generations.

To be normal and fit again would be amazing, but that's never going to happen. It could be worse though, I suppose.
